A reimagining of the Rhine Experiment to test for extra sensory perception in Geelong subjects. Using two arrays of lightboxes marked with Zener's symbols for transmission and reception, Retail Cargo Cult parapsychologists (with Kneebone Press) will investigate the paranormal in a scientifically and artistically rigorous method that excludes sensory leakage.

The Workers Club Connecting Song is an initiative of the Arts & Culture Department, City of Greater Geelong, aligned with the place-based Mountain to Mouth arts walk. Well known Australian musicians with strong ties to Geelong mentor unsigned local acts through the process of writing, recording and filming a clip, honouring the mountains, the city and the beaches they all call home.

Performances (30 minutes each) commence 7, 8 & 9pm.

Synaesthesia is a perceptual phenomenon in which the production of a sense impression by stimulation of another sense, leads to involuntary experiences, where sound may be seen in colour. “Can you hear Colours?” will engage an audio-visual performance, as colour light representations awaken your senses guided by melodic structures.

The Connecting Song Project (a component of the award-winning arts walk, Mountain to Mouth) is an initiative of the Arts & Culture Department of the City of Greater Geelong.

Three well-known Australian musicians with strong ties to Geelong each select a local unsigned act to mentor through the process of writing, recording and filming a clip.

Adalita from Magic Dirt was joined by Mick Thomas (Weddings Parties Anything ) and Mark Wilson (Jet) to guide Chloe St Claire, Jack Meredith and band Alby Jay through the process of writing, recording and filming a clip. Each song is a homage to the mountains, the city and the beaches they all call home.

The clips will premiere at Geelong After Dark Friday 3 May 2019, Moorabool St end of Lt Malop St.
