Embark on a duet with Mx.Red and their lover but you must be invited. The tables turn as the performer selects who gets to join this polyamorous relationship. Beavs Bar is a portal to see the body of Mx.Red. Mx.Red is from another dimension made by artist Jonathan Homsey using motion capture technology, augmented reality and live performance to create an experience of dance, expression and intimacy beyond gender lines.
Where I go to at Night is a sentimental artwork about a night creature building a glow nest alone in the dark. It will be a mixture of a glowing underwater world, glow worms and fireflies, organic meets post apocalyptic.

The Apprentices of the Royal Explorers Society explore places you can only dream of. They dive beneath the waves, mine the earth’s riches and soar the skies. They delve into the imagination to uncover mythologies in the places they visit, unlocking for their audiences new ways of experiencing familiar surroundings.
Rhythm reflects the fundamental soul of the Earth. Join One Spirit African Drumming & Dance as we create an interactive soundscape, enabling the audience to connect to the beat of their collective hearts as, together, we channel the rhythmic pulse of the Earth.
Gnomeless is an installation of gnomes in their true form, earth elementals, standing on piles of earth and treasure in the shadows. Dimly lit, of earth and stone, the gnomes are dispossessed and despised guardians of the underground. A limited edition of the Small Issue will be published in celebration of Geelong After Dark and offered to those able see the true nature of the gnome.
Keen to hear the voices of women from Geelong’s past, I stumbled on the story of two quirky and fascinating very early settlers: Anne Drysdale (1792-1853) and Caroline Newcomb (1812-1892). Despite an age gap of 20 years the women were partners, living together on the Bellarine and running a successful property between the Barwon River and Point Henry.
A presentation of poetry and storytelling around the theme of EARTH/LIFE with an audio backdrop of birdlife recorded early morning in the Brisbane Ranges. Mankind has an intimate relationship with the earth. Listeners will be drawn into this intimate space through the spoken word and the sounds of the Australian bush.

To “unfix their earthbound root”, the International Actors Ensemble – a multinational, multilingual theatre company formed at Shakespeare’s Globe in London – after tours in Mexico and South Korea continue their journey by traversing “this goodly frame, the earth” through Australia, with a series of sonnets, monologues, and scenes from the Bard."

Look out for The Harpy an elaborate interactive roaming art piece wandering through the streets throughout the evening. The Harpy inspired by the red-tailed black cockatoo, an Australian bird found as far south as South-Eastern Victoria and endangered in the region.
Tales From Our Earth is a site-specific, promenade performance that takes audiences on a magical journey down the laneways of Little Malop Street to meet characters from the folklore of diverse cultures using mask, song, dance and live music to tell stories that are will be musical, physical, surprising and fun.

The natural world, skies, moons and forests are all submerged in this abstract work to bridge the relationship between Earth and the Night Sky. This projection functions as a telescopic tie that allows for a transportive event between space and Earth.

This beautiful 3D wall art has been installed by artist Scott Jensen. The big and little butterfly installation sees visitors land on a flower when the 3D image comes to life. People are encouraged to jump in the image, take a picture and tag @lovecentralgeelong.

This permanent public artwork will host a diverse range of creative responses by digital artists. Olaf Meyer has digitally mapped the artwork and brought a child to life exploring amazing virtual worlds.

"The Fish became the Moon” brings to life a beautiful old Aboriginal story, that connects people with the sea, the earth and the moon. We hope that our installation will raise an awareness and pride within our indigenous students and the broader community.
The Sleeper is based on the perception of what is real, and what is not. It stems from an emotion that is fuelled by a feeling that something seen in a dream is real, so real that even after the dreamer has awoken, a question of it's truth lingers.
