Unmasking the Wild Exhibition Launch

Isobelle Carmody

Isobelle Carmody, author of the Obernewtyn Chronicles will be launching an exhibition of masks created by children’s illustrators and artists. The masks will be auctioned online with the proceeds going to charity. There will be a competition for the best mask on the night, so either come with your mask or arrive early to decorate a wild and wonderful mask to wear to the launch.

A special guest will be ‘unmasked’ as part of the launch event.

Brand Me Baby explores the commodification of digital intimacy and how this is redefining intimacy’s value via performative interventions. The duo roam around dressed in skin-toned body suits, enticing viewers to ‘brand’ their bodies with badges of pixelated logos.

Telematic Café opens up for the night providing sites to experience and produce new worlds. Test media and medium at venue 1 – explore stereoscopic (3D) film and collaboration on radio waves. Immerse in new realities at venue 2 – constructed artificial environments and space for communication with an artificially intelligent human. Various artists include: Japanese artist GOSHIMA Kazuhiro with his beautiful 3D film 'Shadowland'.
