Marimba Taters

  • Customs House Lawn 4 Eastern Beach Geelong, VIC, 3220 Australia (map)

Artists: Various Students from Tate Street PS

The MarimbaTaters are students from Tate Street Primary School in East Geelong who love to play marimba! These senior primary students play a broad range of exciting marimba pieces, including African-inspired tunes.

The arrangements they play are in three parts and can be quite complex. Students in the MarimbaTaters rehearse at school in their own time and some have been members of the Tate Street Primary School’s marimba groups for three years. Not only are they great players – they even build some of their own instruments! The MarimaTaters are led by teacher and Community Music leader Dani Rocca and accompanied by Adam Burke.
