Kyneton Street Band is a community band featuring marimbas, brass and percussion that brings fun and a funky repertoire to the Macedon Ranges & District area. You may have seen them in the recent Daffodil Festival parade with their colourful costumes, crazy antics and the exciting sound of marimbas, percussion, brass and woodwind instruments and thought, “Gee, that looks like fun.” According to seven-year-old Lillian (tuba) and seventy-two-year-old Peter (trumpet), fun is just the beginning. And the band is actively seeking people of all ages to join them in this great adventure.

All of the bands which will be playing at GAD 2019 are community music-making groups formed as part of Community Music Victoria's StreetSounds project. They are open to all ages and abilities wanting to play in a street band.
