Local Spiral performers Tarn and her Hoop Fusion Hoopers hit the pavement again with this sleeky combination of hybrid hoopdance and traditional circus inspired hoop tricks, creating an edgy piece that is driven by Galactic Rainbow LED Hoops.
CircArts Academy of Circus Arts is the only Circus School in Geelong, running classes for all ages and abilities from intensive training for elite circus performance troupes, specialty circus training programs and Kidsplace Circus School recreational programs with Acrobatic Circus and Aerial classes to suit all levels, all under one roof at a dedicated training facility in Breakwater.
David will direct approximately 20 students from primary and secondary levels, the group are very excited to create an artwork on site for ‘Geelong After Dark’.
Based on a poem by William Blake, Jacob TV’s The Garden of Love is a multimedia work written for soprano saxophone and pre-recorded electronics. This musical performance will be accompanied by digital projections to recreate a garden of light.
Visual artists Nick Wilson and Daniele Poidonani created Soft Oyster, inspired by Esther Konings Oakes work with the Norlane Yarn Bombers and fOrt young people. Soft Oyster, thought to be one of the world’s largest glowing pearl is encased in beautiful forms crocheted in yarn. Choreographer Jacob Boheme working with the Deadly Dancers move Soft Oyster on the hour every hour around Johnstone Park.
