Artists: James Thompson and Sam Cowan
(IN) Visible Blizzards is a performance installation work that uses light and sound to evoke as sense of travel within a stationary space. Unfolding over three hours, the exciting live duo performance by Thompson (drums and amplified sounds) and Cowan (electrified bass and effects) will furnish an evolving lightscape created specifically for Metropolis Gallery.
Projections of Thompson's hand-drawn, rhythmic animations will be augmented with existing light sources in an ongoing interplay, gradually transitioning between nocturnal and diurnal moods as both the artists and the audience journey through the work.
